Estate Proof™ emerged from the aftermath of the 2023 Lahaina, Maui fires, a tragic event that claimed over 115 lives and left countless individuals without homes. Our founders were volunteers on the animal search and rescue teams, and they were deeply moved by the stories they encountered from the people of Lahaina.

One particular account resonated with our founders—a woman who had lost her home and all her belongings. She shared that her insurance companies began calling immediately pressuring her to give them an itemized list of her possessions. This was an impossible task amidst the loss and the emotional turmoil she had suffered. At this moment, the concept of Estate Proof was born.
